Planning Appeal Search
This free 'Planning Appeal' search tool provides access to over 188,000 planning appeal decisions issued by the Planning Inspectorate across England. It covers the last 10 years of casework data, between 1st June 2016 and 29th May 2026.
Search and filter by local planning authority (LPA), appeal type, decision outcome, development type, procedure (written representations, hearing or inquiry), decision year, and inspector name.
Green Belt, AONB and Conservation Area flags allow targeted searches of appeals involving sensitive designations.
Appeals decided within the last five years include links to the full decision on the Appeals Casework Portal (ACP). As these links point to an external website, they may occasionally be unavailable or stop working. If this happens, you can locate the decision by searching the Planning Inspectorate's Appeals Casework Portal or the relevant local authority's planning portal using the appeal reference or site address.
