Dartford Planning Consultant
If you need a planning consultant in Dartford, I provide independent planning advice across the borough: Dartford town, Swanscombe, Greenhithe, and the Green Belt villages to the south.
Dartford sits on the edge of London, and much of my work there draws on the same experience I use in the outer London boroughs: making the case for new homes on tight urban and brownfield sites, and finding a route through Green Belt policy.

Planning in Dartford
The Dartford Plan to 2037 was adopted on 22 April 2024 and is now the main basis for decisions across the borough.
In and around Ebbsfleet Garden City, applications are decided by the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation rather than the council, but against the same Dartford Plan.
The issues that come up most often are:
Green Belt across the rural south of the borough, where national policy on grey belt and previously developed land has opened new routes to permission.
Brownfield and infill sites in the urban area, often with a history of refusals.
Design, amenity and parking standards on small residential schemes.
Ebbsfleet, where the development corporation's processes and timescales apply.
Green Belt Planning in Dartford
Green Belt work makes up a large part of my practice. Under current national policy, some Green Belt land now counts as grey belt, and limited infilling, the redevelopment of previously developed land and replacement buildings can all be acceptable.
